An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time (37.5hours/week) Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse within the Acute Oncology Service, based on the Cancer Assessment Unit (CAU). This role would suit those wishing to further develop their clinical assessment skills, and lead in the care of acutely unwell patients with cancer.

When the CAU is closed the Acute Oncology Service peripatetic role supports the Cancer directorate and the Emergency Department, this includes weekends. You would be expected to work a range of shifts to cover this service including long days and weekends.
You must be a motivated nurse who will complement the highly skilled and motivated team in providing high quality care to patients. You must be adaptable, able to thrive under pressure, a great team player, be able to empathise and to remain professional and positive during challenging situations.
Oncology/Haematology experience is preferable though acute or critical care experience will be considered.
You will be offered the opportunity to develop your management and leadership skills as well as increase your specialist knowledge, whilst providing quality care for patients.
