Job Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent position at Band 6 within one of our older adult medical wards. Ward J8 is a 31-bedded unit that cares for a mix of female and male patients. The post holder will be responsible for leading the ward team and working closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) across Specialty Integrated Medicine. J8 is committed to delivering a high standard of care to all patients, and we are seeking a highly skilled nurse to continue the fantastic work the ward has achieved in caring for the older population in Leeds. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who can empower a team while remaining focused on patient-centred care. Applicants should be able to practise effectively and deliver excellent care in a timely manner to our patient group. A commitment to personal and professional development is essential, and in return, the management team is dedicated to supporting and developing our workforce. Our services include Older Peoples Medicine (including Same Day Emergency Care), Diabetes, Endocrinology, HIV Outpatients, Leeds Sexual Health, Infectious Diseases and a variety of related specialisms. We work closely with other teams across the Trust, facilitating the admission, care and discharge of one of its largest acute patient cohorts.
