About the Role
North East Ambulance Service is seeking experienced General Practitioners to join our Clinical Assessment Service (CAS), supporting NHS 111 and urgent care pathways across the region. The main function of the role is to provide remote clinical assessment, prescribing, and decision-making, helping to reduce unnecessary emergency department attendances and optimise patient flow through alternative care pathways.
We currently expect on-site working to foster collaboration with our multidisciplinary team.
We also encourage prospective applicants to contact our GP Lead, Dr Suzy Lovat, prior to applying to discuss the role in more detail. Suzannah.lovat@neas.nhs.uk
