The Senior Clinical Staff Nurse will act as a credible and professional role model and encourage and empower other staff to develop both personally and professionally to achieve their maximum potential

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individuals to join our team in the Discharge lounge to support Flow throughout the hospital.

The successful applicants will work closely with a Band 7 Senior Sister to deliver high standards of patient care and provide robust support to staff across the unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills.

You will be expected to: •     Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team •     Demonstrate excellent communication, motivation, and enthusiasm •     Take on managerial responsibility for a number of staff within the nursing team  •     Lead nurse-led care on a shift-by-shift basis •     Act as a role model, leading by example in all areas of clinical practice •     Take charge in the absence of other senior staff •     Manage and respond to complaints and Datix reports professionally •     Champion specific areas of departmental interest to support ongoing service development This is an ideal opportunity for nurses looking to step into senior leadership, with full support from an experienced and forward-thinking management team.
