BARRA Nursing Team
Senior Staff Nurse
Band 6 £43,231 - £52,679 pro rata
Plus, Distant Islands Allowance or £1,461 pro rata
24 hours per week
Fixed Term Post for 6 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen on the Isle of Barra, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Senior Staff Nurses to work rotational shifts within the nursing team on the Isle of Barra giving care in the Hospital (3 inpatients/Emergency room/ Outpatient) in Castlebay on the isle of Barra and Community (CTAC/ Palliative Care) covering the Isles of Barra and Vatersay.
The post is varied and unpredictable you will be delivering care to the 1300 residents of Barra in the various settings, utilising advanced nursing skills and clinical experience in medical and acute care. Community, Trauma, Paediatric, Palliative, Scheduled and unscheduled care skills and knowledge is desirable and opportunity to develop these available.
You will be providing leadership and clinical support to the Barra Nursing Team, manage the team and non staff resources in the absence of Senior Charge Nurse and Charge Nurse. Applicants should be committed to providing a high standard of evidence based care, interact well within a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the education and supervision of learners.
The successful candidates will need to achieve all Mandatory Training requirements for WINHS.
