The Sterile Service department at Broomfield hospital is a very busy, efficient and effective service.
We are looking to recruit a Senior Sterile Services Technician who can organise and schedule staff and production and be a part of a team who are methodical and meticulous to detail, to wash, inspect, pack and sterilise surgical instruments, to help us to provide an essential decontamination service to our customers.

Main duties of the job
- To assist the management team with change and contribute to ideas and efficiencies.
- Do you have demonstrable experience within Sterile Services?
- Are you interested in working for the MEHT Sterile Services Team?
- Can you follow standards and procedures?
- You will:
- Plan and prioritise own workload
- Liaise and communicate with staff, management and service users on Production issues both orally and in writing to maintain effective high levels of service delivery.
- Assume responsibility and direction for prioritising work and assisting in Training of staff
- Ensure the documented policies, procedures and established standards for best practice are employed throughout the department
- Identify and report any issues, concerns or failures as appropriate.
The Department is open 24 hours (Monday to Friday) and 8:00am to 4:00pm on a Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. You will be required to work on a rota basis with shifts between the above hours (Monday to Friday), weekends and Bank Holidays shifts.
These hours are subject to change to meet the needs of the Trust.
