A sought after opportunity has arisen for a Senior Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy Department at Addenbrooke's Hospital on a fixed term or secondment.

We are looking for an innovative team player to join the rotational programme which covers a wide variety of clinical areas - Oncology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Older Person's Care, Medical, Neurosciences, Stroke and Rehab, Major Trauma, Rheumatology and Pain, Hand Therapy and Critical Care.

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with good communication and clinical skills and an interest in developing service improvement projects.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to effectively and creatively carry a full case load without direct supervision whilst developing supervisory and project / service delivery skills.

You will have responsibilities for student and junior staff education as well as opportunities to support the Team Lead in delivering the service.

Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, Division and Occupational Therapy department you will have many opportunities to develop and increase both knowledge and skills.

Experience

Qualifications

Essential

  • Occupational Therapist registered with Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Degree of Diploma of Occupational Therapy.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Willing to undertake fieldwork educators training.

Desirable

  • Member of Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Member of Specialist Section / Special Interest Group.
  • Fieldwork educators certificate.
