Job overview
Join our expert Radiotherapy Team as a Senior Review Radiographer. You will lead radiographer-led review clinics, managing treatment side effects, supporting patients and carers throughout their cancer journey, and prescribing medications where appropriate.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of specialist radiotherapy services, provide expert advice and support, and play a key role in developing colleagues through training and supervision.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated radiographer who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient-centred cancer care.

Main duties of the job
- To organise and lead on radiographer led review clinics, including assessing and managing treatment side effects, and advising patients and carers on how to manage these side effects. To include prescribing medications where appropriate utilising the current prescribing guidelines. To lead on information and support for radiotherapy patients and carers, providing a holistic approach to the emotional, practical, social and information needs, utilising a variety of communication media. To be part of the multidisciplinary team involved in the total care of patients undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment and highly specialist treatments e.g. SRS and SBRT Attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings and travel to other hospitals as appropriate. To assist in organising and planning the workload in review clinic and information and support service. To take responsibility for training and supervising more junior review radiographers, rotational radiographers, support staff and students. To work with more senior staff to provide a safe, accurate, efficient and caring treatment service. To act as a resource within the Trust providing expert knowledge to support the multidisciplinary team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
