The Staff Support and Therapy Service are pleased to invite compassionate, dedicated applicants for a 0.6 WTE post for an 8a Senior Clinical Psychologist or Psychological Therapist post to assist the Service Lead in the running and delivery of the range of staff support offers across the trust.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic , hardworking and experienced candidate, who is passionate about making a difference. Accredited in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and ideally trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and committed to using a trauma informed approach.

Main duties of the job
- Working closely with the Service Lead to assist in providing clinical leadership, managing waiting times for different therapeutic modalities in the service, supervision of trainee clinical psychologists on placement, psychological therapists, assistant psychologists and where appropriate other staff groups across the trust; recruitment, data collection, audits, training and representation at relevant leadership meetings.
- Provide supervision and training for trainee clinical psychologists from the Leeds Doctorate programme
- Provide specialist evidence based psychological assessment, formulation & therapy, making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, consultation and advice on psychological therapies.
- Provide clinical consultation as appropriate across the trust.
- Support adherence to relevant NICE guidance and clinical governance arrangements.
- To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking research and development activities relevant to the service area.
- Work with the Service lead on service development, leading research and development activities
