Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Senior Project Officer to join the Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) Service Development and Quality Improvement Team on a 0.6 WTE fixed-term or secondment basis for 12 months.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of CFHD's service development, transformation and quality improvement priorities across a wide range of programmes, projects and operational improvement initiatives. Working closely with operational managers, clinical leaders, commissioners, partner organisations and stakeholders, the post holder will provide project management, coordination, performance reporting, improvement support and stakeholder engagement to help deliver sustainable improvements in services for children, young people and families across Devon.

The successful candidate will require strong project management and organisational skills, experience of working across organisational boundaries and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people through collaborative system working.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Project Officer will provide project management and programme support across a diverse portfolio of service development and quality improvement initiatives within CFHD. The role will support service planning, project delivery, programme governance, stakeholder engagement, performance monitoring, benefits realisation and continuous improvement activities.
The post holder will work collaboratively with clinical, operational and corporate colleagues to support the design, implementation and evaluation of service improvements, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and aligned to organisational priorities.
The post holder will:
- Develop and maintain project documentation, action plans, risk logs and programme reports.
- Support governance arrangements, including preparing papers, reports and presentations for senior groups.
- Analyse, interpret and present performance, activity and project data to support decision making.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication across services and partner organisations.
- Support quality improvement methodologies, service redesign and testing of change initiatives.
- Monitor project milestones, risks, issues and dependencies, escalating concerns where appropriate.
- Contribute to evaluation, benefits realisation and the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement.
