Applications are invited for a Band 7 team lead role within the Physiotherapy Medical team. This exciting development opportunity is suitable for a Senior physiotherapist keen to advance their clinical, leadership and managerial skills with the full support of management. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our department.

You will be working alongside an established B7 team lead. The team has highly skilled Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy assistant staff. They are a friendly team and dedicated towards the delivery of an excellent service for all our users.
You will be required to partake in our on-call and weekend service.
Main duties of the job
In General Medicine, you will:
Manage patients with a wide variety of conditions e.g. respiratory, neurological and musculoskeletal; Have a varied caseload of patients ranging from General Medical to subspecialty patients such as Respiratory, Cardiology, Hepatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Renal and Oncology, utilising the skills of advanced assessment and discharge planning.
As a physiotherapy specialist you will have responsibilities that would include:
- Planning, delivery and evaluation of the Medical physiotherapy service
- Operational management of the team
- Development and supervision of staff and students
To provide highly specialised respiratory physiotherapy and rehabilitation to the specialist medical wards, including oncology, infectious diseases, haemotology, hepatology, renal, gastroenterology, cardiology, endocrinology and respiratory diseases, including the respiratory support unit.
To support the members of the medical team to deliver the highest
possible standard of service.
To undertake a team leader role in planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the Physiotherapy Service provided to medical patients throughout Addenbrooke’s hospital on a day-to-day basis.

All appointments with a start date on or after 1 October 2026 will be subject to a 12-week probationary period. This provides a structured and supportive period to help you settle into your role, with regular reviews and feedback.
As there is a 12-week probationary period, successful candidates are expected to have the Right to Work for a period of at least 6 months from the proposed start date. Immigration and Right to Work status will be discussed with successful candidates at conditional offer. CUH will not offer sponsorship to candidates that have applied for a fee waiver.
