North Bristol NHS Trust are looking to appoint a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician with extensive knowledge of Aseptic preparation, excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic technician to become part of a dynamic and forward thinking team delivering a high level service to an expanding and developing establishment.
Recent accreditation of Pre- and In- process checking is preferred, but training can be offered. You must also be willing to take on the Product Approval Accreditation.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will assist the Lead Technician in the application of EU-GMP through the appraisal and development of a robust programme of training to ensure that all staff are compliant with regulatory requirements. You will play an integral role in managing daily workload, the supervision of junior staff, and co-ordination of environmental monitoring with Quality Control You must also be able to show that you have recent experience of working in a similar capacity, have an in-depth knowledge of aseptic preparation, an understanding of the exacting standards of EU-GMP and be able to demonstrate that you enjoy the challenge of training.

Pre and In process checks of complex processes
Day to Day supervision and co-ordination of workload and staff capacity throughout the facility
Development and oversight of Technical training package in line with EU-GMP and QAAPSs
Deputising for Lead Technician as required

Education
Essential
- NVQ 3 or Equivalent
- Current registration with GPhC
- Completion of PIPC
Desirable
- Completion of Product Approval Accreditation
Work Experience
Essential
- Post qualification experience within a UK Hospital Aseptic Unit
- Experience of working with GMP standards
- Management of staff or processes
Desirable
- NVQ or equivalent assessor qualification
- Ability to mentor junior staff

- Adaptable and ability to work flexibly when under pressure
- Ability to prioritise using own initiative
