Are you passionate about providing an efficient medicines supply service to inpatients in our hospital? Our busy, friendly dispensary team at the LGI, work hard in a fast paced but supportive environment to provide an excellent medicines supply service.
Main duties of the job
This role requires a NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services and previous pharmacy experience including labelling and dispensing is essential. The role is based in the Inpatient Pharmacy at the LGI and is full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm with 1 hour lunch. All staff contribute to an 8pm evening shift every 5 weeks and a Saturday or Sunday on a 1 in 4 rota.

The dispensary team at the LGI is a friendly and extremely supportive team working as part of the larger Medicines Management & Pharmacy Services Team. All the team work hard together to provide an efficient service to our patients.
What you will bring to the role
The Senior Pharmacy Services Assistant role is varied and consists of all aspects of labelling and dispensing medicines, including controlled drugs, discharge prescriptions, and inpatient orders.
There will also be some reception work, answering the phone, dealing with reception and admin type tasks.
Raising orders and receipt of products from external and internal suppliers on a rotating basis is also part of this role as well as some stock maintenance tasks.
Although this position is based in the LGI dispensary there maybe times we require you to work at LGI and Chapel Allerton Pharmacy.
