Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job:
- Act as an independent prescriber to optimise patient care
- Provide expert clinical advice and medicines optimisation to the multidisciplinary team
- Lead and participate in audit, research, and quality improvement projects
- Provide training, supervision, and education to pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Deliver and develop specialist clinical pharmacy services for Acute & Emergency Medicine
- Monitor, analyse, and manage medicines expenditure and support cost‑improvement initiatives

Applicants must be registered with the GPhC, have comprehensive experience as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting, have comprehensive experience of supervising/ training/ assessing students or staff, and have a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
