
Job summary
Althea Park House is a 7-bed CQC-registered eating disorders service for males and females aged 16+, supporting eating disorders and co-occurring conditions. The Anchor is a 3-bed on-site step-down home. Newcombe Lodge (7 beds) and The Lighthouse (5 beds) are dual CQC and OFSTED-registered children's homes for young women aged 1321, supporting complex mental health needs, risk-taking behaviours, disordered eating, and autism.
Main duties of the job
You will join three compassionate teams dedicated to supporting residents wellbeing and recovery through personalised, evidence-based care. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in assessment, treatment planning, and discharge preparation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions to promote independence, daily functioning, and engagement in meaningful activities.
- Leading liaison with education providers to support residents educational needs.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement person-centred treatment plans.
- Facilitating individual and group sessions that support meaningful activity and recovery.
- Maintaining high-quality clinical records and contributing to care reviews, audits, and service development in line with HCPC standards and best practice.

You must hold a recognised degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role across our three residential services in Stroud, Gloucestershire. These services are Althea Park House, Newcombe Lodge and The Lighthouse.

Essential
- Applicants must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC registration. Experience in mental health settings is highly desirable, and Sensory Integration training or experience would be advantageous. Strong assessment, communication, clinical reasoning, organisational, and teamwork skills are essential, along with a compassionate, recovery-focused approach.
- A genuine commitment to supporting young people with complex needs, flexibility, a positive attitude, and a full UK driving licence with access to a car are required.
