Hours 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday: core office hours

Main duties of the job

As our new Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will:

  • You will assist the mental health team in the delivery of immediate and, where appropriate, ongoing care for patients referred to the service.
  • Be expected to delivery structured intervention on a 1:1 and group basis to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, including people with anxiety and depression.
  • Contribute to the positive and aspirational workings of the integrated mental health care team, ensuring that each and every patient is treated with care, respect and dignity.
  • In addition to this, the post holder will also be responsible for completing physical health monitoring as required, this includes taking blood and completing physical observations - training can be provided.

Qualifications required

  • Experienced in healthcare settings, preferably mental health settings.
  • Previous training, or willingness to complete training around physical health monitoring including venepuncture, NEWS2 and ECGs.
  • Experience in the delivery of mental health interventions.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently
