The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm Possible out of hours work required

Post Title: Senior Dental Officer – Priority and Vulnerable Care DentistryService: Public Dental ServiceBase: Royal Alexandra Hospital and Greenock Health CentreAn exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to a Senior Dental Officer post (Priority and Vulnerable Groups) to support the clinical management and treatment of priority group patients within the Public Dental Service (PDS) in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The successful candidate will be involved the treatment of complex and vulnerable patients both registered and referred to the Public Dental Service, utilising a range of clinical techniques including sedation and general anaesthetic within both fixed and mobile clinics.The post holder must be registered with the General Dental Council as a dentist.The successful applicant will be expected to have regular contact with a range of partners including: PDS staff Complex Needs Team Members Glasgow University Secondary Care dental colleagues Oral Health Improvement Teams

The post holder will be required to work 37.5 hrs per week (part-time and job share requests will be considered), to provide clinical care and leadership across all services within their remit which may include the out of hours service.
