An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Nurse to join the Assertive Outreach Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our multi-disciplinary team. Applicants should have an interest in working with individuals who have severe and enduring mental health problems and are difficult to engage. The specific purpose is to deliver care in a collaborative manner that reflects the principles of AOT working, particularly aspects relating to recovery and social inclusion.
The Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and North Cotswolds Assertive Outreach Team provides comprehensive mental health and social care to working age adults.
The service generally runs weekdays between the hours of 9-5, however some weekends, evenings and bank holidays will be needed on a rotational basis, if there is clinical need. Flexible working arrangements will be considered. Any request will be set against genuine operational requirements and limitations and it is not obligatory for a manager to accede to the request.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for a community mental health nurse who has experience of working with adults of Working Age and caring for individuals with Enduring Mental Health problems. The post will include care coordinating a designated caseload, working within CPA Policy and associated countywide risk procedures, travelling independently, and lone working, use of IT skills and a working knowledge of legislation regarding safeguarding vulnerable adults, the MHA and MCA.
