The Senior Commercial & Procurement Manager for Estates & Facilities (SCPM) is a key role within the Trust’s Corporate Procurement Service and will provide Estates & Facilities category expertise supporting the Senior Procurement team in ensuring compliance with the Procurement Legislation and Standing Financial Instructions, securing Value for Money and achieving financial savings through tendering, supply chain optimisation and supplier relationship management.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will create, implement and maintain an Estates and Facilities category strategy to ensure that cost-effective purchasing/ contracts work programme is developed and maintained to achieve key objectives, target savings and achieving value for money. This will include the direct provision and development of a cost-effective purchasing/ contracts work programme.
The post holder will support negotiations on contract extensions, variations and renewals and contribute to the development of the Trust’s corporate policies and strategies.
They will also support the management and resolution of contractual disputes.
