East Cheshire NHS Trust is looking to appoint enthusiastic, self-motivated and compassionate people to join our team of Senior Clinical Support Worker.

We currently have vacancies in:

  • Medical Assessment Unit
  • Acute Medical Receiving  Unit

We are looking for Clinical Support Workers who are capable of working in a busy, challenging and rewarding environment who possess excellent communication skills, can maintain a high degree of confidentiality and are able to work to deadlines, provide excellent personal care to our patients and work as part of team.

Duties will include providing a high standard of care by attending to aspects of patient personal hygiene, maintaining patient tissue integrity and providing pressure area care, recording of observations, liaising with the patient's families and the general public and supporting your colleagues in providing a positive experience for the patient. Hours per week: 37.5 Full and part time hours available

Main duties of the job

The role of the Senior Clinical Support Worker is to work under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse to provide the highest possible standard of essentially care for patients and their family’s carer.

The post holder will work under the direction of the Registered nurse to Provide and deliver a high standard of compassionate personal care recognising and meeting the specific needs of the patients, they will assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual programmes of care for patient.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse they will undertake a range of delegated clinical care duties including personal care duties, recording patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions and carry out clinical care duties in line with the Clinical Competency framework included in appendix 1, under the Senior Clinical Support Worker section.
