Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Clinical Scientist in GI Physiology to join our established GI Physiology team. Our multidisciplinary team sits within the GI Physiology Unit at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) and is comprised of specialist nurses, physiotherapists, clinical scientists, operating department practitioners, colorectal surgeons and gastroenterologists.

You will provide a full range of diagnostic tests including high resolution oesophageal manometry, 24 hour pH/impedance studies, wireless pH studies, anorectal physiology and hydrogen and methane breath tests. You will contribute to upper GI physiology and pelvic floor MDTs and provide diagnostic testing during one-stop consultant clinics.

You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced in delivering high quality patient care. You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
