Qualifications

Essential

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • MRCS or FRCS

Desirable

  • Evidence of commitment to Lower limb surgery

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Should have substantial full-time hospital service in the SHO or a higher grade since first obtaining full or limited registration
  • Orthopaedic Surgery, especially emergency T&O surgery experience.
  • Experience of audit and research

Desirable

  • Evidence of training in management skills
  • Understanding of the NHS organisation
  • 6 months of previous shoulder and elbow surgery experience at middle grade level
