Applications are invited for this full-time Senior Clinical Fellow post based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. NHS Grampian is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled applicant to support its haemato-oncology and CAR-T service, which serves the whole north of Scotland.

This post is fixed term for 12 months.

The successful applicant will play an integral role in the success of the CAR-T and wider haemato-oncology service, therefore must have the ability to develop strong working relationships, work as part of a wide multidisciplinary team, have a positive, innovative attitude and a dedicated approach to learning. Other key roles include an active part in clinical research, teaching and training and development of the service in collaboration with colleagues.

The Haematology department currently has 12 consultants, 5 specialty trainee posts and two specialty doctor posts.

The post holder will take part in the on-call registrar rota for the adult Haematology & Oncology service, once appropriate training has been completed. Duties include review of patients in the Haematology Day Unit and Clinic, cover of the Haematology laboratory and liaison Haematology including advice to colleagues in primary and secondary care, and care of Haematology inpatients in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

This post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training
