Applications are invited for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric ENT for a duration of 12 months, commencing October 2026. The post is aimed at those who have completed their higher surgical training and have their CCT and wish to develop a special interest in paediatric ENT Surgery.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be performing general paediatric ENT surgery while developing a subspecialist expertise under the direction of the nominated clinical consultant supervisors. The job plan can be seen in the Job Description, but BWCFT would expect the successful candidate to be flexible with their working commitments to a total of 10 programmed activities (40 hours) per week with on-call duties.

The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the multi-disciplinary teaching and research program for ENT surgery at BWCFT. This includes participating in the teaching program for ENT surgery trainees and teaching medical students from Birmingham University Medical School who periodically attend the department. The post-holder would also be required to carry out audit and when appropriate, take a guiding role for the junior registrars in the audit activities of the department at BW

  • FRCS (ORL-HNS) or equivalent
