This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to join an established department dealing with all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The department at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is run by 5 Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeons and 3 Consultant Orthodontists.
Main duties of the job
This post is based at Chase Farm and Barnet Hospitals with satellite clinics at the Royal Free and Edgware Community Hospitals. Adult elective surgery is centralised to a dedicated theatre at Chase Farm with paediatric surgery at Barnet Hospital. The on-call service and emergency service is based at Barnet Hospital where the first tier of on call consists of nine junior staff (6 DF1/2 and 3 Trust Doctors) on a compliant 48hr full shift rota with 1 in 6 middle tier nights and a weekend middle grade non-resident on-call cover based at Barnet Hospital.
