This a full time Fellow Post with interest in MIS in Paediatric and Neonatal Surgery for out of program training and service provision. The post holder will be able to gain advanced paediatric minimally invasive surgery experience during the year through structured program. Position is for up to 12 months with a possibility of extending for a further 12 months. This post is ideal for some one who is looking to complete FRCS Paed Surg exam or CESR application.
ST3-5 equivalent This post will also attract enhanced elements to cover out of hours work and weekends, these are subject to your specific Rota and subject to change. It involves 1 in 6 on call cover with Paediatric surgery.

Main duties of the job
The post of Senior Clinical fellow in MIS in Paediatric and Neonatal Surgery will offer the post holder an exciting opportunity to develop their skills in minimally invasive aspects of Paediatric surgery with a focused training in minimally invasive surgery. The senior fellow will have the opportunity to learn intermediate and advanced skills in Paediatric GI laparoscopy and Paediatric diagnostic endoscopy. The senior fellow will participate in a 1:6 non-resident general pediatric, Paediatric Urology and neonatal surgical on-call rota. The post holder will work at middle grade tier alongside two National Specialty Trainees in Paediatric Surgery (ST3-6), Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Urology, and 2 Specialist Doctors.

- MBBS (or equivalent)
- MRCS /AFRCS or equivalent.
- Completion of at least 3 years Higher Surgical Training (or equivalent) in Paediatric Surgery at time of interview)

- BSc (or other intercalated degree)
- FRCS (Paeds) or FRCS (And Neonatal Surgery)
- Other higher degrees / qualifications
