ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include: Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, your primary focus will be to work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring residents, visitors, and staff experience a safe, caring, and inclusive environment. Your responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of residents, being actively involved in person-centred care planning, and supporting residents with their medication requirements. You'll conduct staff supervisions and support their development where needed. You'll serve as a key contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals involved in resident care. The role requires a compassionate, dedicated individual who embodies the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Ideal candidates will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care, a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar care environment, effective communication skills, and a positive attitude towards supporting residents and staff.
