Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant at Barchester care home, you will be responsible for delivering quality person-centred care to residents. You'll supervise a team of Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager and support the clinical team in areas such as medication, assessments, and care plans. You'll be expected to respect the dignity and preferences of residents while creating a warm and welcoming environment. The role requires an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, and specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. There are opportunities for career development through ongoing training, allowing progression into roles such as Care Practitioner, Regional Carer, or nursing.
