Main duties of the job
As a Senior Biomedical Scientist you will; Deliver a high quality histology service Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control. Keep records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables. Support the organisation in validating and assessing new equipment and developing new diagnostic procedures.

This year, we embarked on phase three of our multi-million pound refurbishment, adding state of the art equipment like our Mako robotic arm for orthopaedic surgery and a new ambulatory theatre. We have a special focus in the areas of orthopaedics, spinal surgery, ophthalmology, weight loss surgery and cosmetic treatment.

As a Senior Biomedical Scientist you will; Deliver a high quality histology service Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control. To succeed as a Senior Biomedical Scientist you will have; Relevant laboratory experience in Histopathology, multi-disciplinary biomedical science experience is an advantage, however training will be provided. Good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques. Great communication skills Ability to work well both within a small team and alone The ability to understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide a high levels of service within a modern pathology laboratory.
