Do you have a passion to inspire the next generation of doctors?
Would you like to try some medical education work?
We are looking for an enthusiastic GP educator to join our ScotGEM teaching team of Generalist Clinical Mentors (GCMs) to provide maternity leave cover and to support the delivery and teaching of the Year 2 students.
NHS Highland is proud to host Graduate Entry Medicine students (ScotGEM) in collaboration with the Universities of St Andrews and Dundee. The Medical Education department is looking for someone to join our team to support ScotGEM Year 2 from the next academic year 2026/27 which starts in August 2026.
As a Generalist Clinical Mentor (GCM) for Year 2 of the ScotGEM programme, you will teach our mature, engaged students both in a Clinical Skills Centre and in a GP practice environment. You will also be required to work clinically in a GP role in the area at least one other day per week.
You will benefit from living and working in a rural, accessible and friendly region whilst being part of a Scotland wide team led, in partnership, with the Universities of Dundee and St Andrews.
ScotGEM is an innovative and exciting four-year programme that puts GPs at the centre of undergraduate medical education.
