We are looking to recruit a Primary Care Salaried GP to join our Primary Care Services Team .  We have a number of friendly and approachable family practices with a combined list size of circa. 52,000 patients.  You will have the option of working across various locations across Wolverhampton.

We have a strong team of clinicians including Consultants in Primary Care, ACPs, Practice Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacists, Post CCT Fellows, Physiotherapists and trainee nurses who work proactively to encourage patient engagement by thinking outside the box. We are looking for a Clinicians to join us and further enhance the services we provide for our patients.

In accordance with the practice rota, the post holder will make him/herself available to  undertake a variety of duties including surgery, telephone and electronic consultations  and queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.   Responding to medical problems presented by temporary residents.   Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems,  whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.   Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed  problems.  Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.  In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management  protocols, developing care plans for health management.

Making appropriate and timely referral of patients for further opinion and treatment.  Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards  including the recording of appropriate information for the Quality and Outcomes  Framework Services.  Prescribing in accordance with Practice Policy.  Collecting data for audit purposes.  Compiling and issuing computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions.  Timely assessment of incoming electronic and paper correspondence relating to both  patient and non-patient information as required. Using the appropriate electronic  systems.  To complete insurance, DSS, DLVA and other reports relating to patients under our  care.  In general the post holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and  responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care and any other duties  reasonably required by the practice.
