
Job summary
The Ranworth Medical Group are currently looking to welcome a salaried GP to join us on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027.This position is offered on a full or part-time basis, flexible to sessions, on-site but hybrid considered.
A normal working day will include;
- 30 patient appointments and up to two home visits, plus all associated paperwork.
- Review and action of 50 blood results.
- Completion of tasks/scanned paperwork sent to you for review and action.
- Support and guidance to junior clinical colleagues as required.
Main duties of the job
- Delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
- Provision of services commensurate with the GMS/APMS contract.
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
- Effective management of long-term conditions.
- Process of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks.
- On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance.
- Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload.
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) of the QOF.
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required.
Due to to working across all sites, the successful applicant will require their own transport.

Ranworth Medical Group, is comprised of Caradoc Surgery, Ranworth Surgery in Clacton-on-Sea, Green Elms Health Centre in Jaywick and Kennedy Way Medical Centre in Holland on Sea. We have a diverse patient population, of around 32,000 and all practices work on SystmOne.
