Compass House Medical Centres are seeking a Salaried GP to join our established, supportive team, with an immediate start available.
We are an Outstanding CQC-rated practice and Investors in People Gold employer, serving over 15,500 patients from our purpose-built surgery overlooking the sea in Brixham, our Galmpton branch and a refurbished wing at Brixham Hospital.

Main duties of the job
Our GPs hold patient lists, supporting continuity of care and long-term relationships with patients and families. The successful applicant will join a team of 10 GPs, supported by highly experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, nurses, Care Co-ordinators and Social Prescribers.
Planned Care sessions typically include 25 core patient contacts across the day, with additional GP-controlled continuity/follow-up slots. Protected time is built in for administration and review, alongside daily coffee breaks and flexibility in managing workload.
Practice visits are managed by the duty On the Day Team, primarily through our Visiting ANP, protecting routine Planned Care sessions. Planned visits remain welcomed where they support continuity of care.
Our dedicated On the Day hub brings together GPs, ANPs and nursing colleagues to share workload and provide ready access to peer support. GP workload is further supported by:
- Clinical Pharmacists managing medication queries, reviews and repeat prescriptions
- Care Co-ordinators streamlining administrative and clinical processes
- Regular MDT, clinical and practice meetings within a safe, collaborative environment
