We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated experienced salaried GP to join our team up to 4/6 sessions per week out of our City - Beechcroft and Old Palace Surgeries.

Main duties of the job

- The City practice works on a personal list basis and thus a passion for looking after 'your' patients and supporting those of colleagues is key.

Main duties include:

- Provide direct clinical care to patients including telephone triage, home visits, dealing with results and other administrate duties.

- Work across a multi-skilled clinical and non-clinical team to provide holistic care to our patients.

- Support in the training and teaching of GP trainees, nurses and healthcare assistants.

- Be part of the development and delivery of enhanced services

- Participate in practice educational meetings, mandatory training requirements and maintain CPD for annual appraisals and revalidation

- The role is mainly based at Old Palace surgery, where you will be the only GP on site, supported by the nursing team. Required days are Thursday and Friday, although if 6 sessions is preferred, there will also be an offer of Tuesday. On the Thursday afternoon, Old Palace surgery will close and care will be delivered by you at Beechcroft Surgery as a sole GP, supported by a multi-disciplinary team.

Essential

  • Although we are looking for an experienced GP due to the solo working element, confident newly qualified GPs may still be considered if they believe they would be happy to work on this basis.
  • -Strong clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a wide range of presenting conditions in a general practice setting.
  • -Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with Nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • -Commitment to Training and ongoing professional development, including participation in clinical education, supervision, and reflective practice.
  • -Be conversant with and adhere to the GMC Good Medical Practice.
  • -Excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered and non-judgmental approach.
  • -Competence in using clinical IT systems (SystmOne), electronic health records, and digital tools for patient care and communication.
  • -Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and relevant clinical governance and regulatory standards in UK primary care.

  • -Full GMC registration with a license to practice, inclusion on the GP Register, and right to work in the UK.
