We need a GP to work at our main site offering holistic and psychologically informed primary care to the homeless population of Bristol. We are committed to a high level of empathetic care, as well as effective clinical management, aiming to reduce the harm caused by homelessness & addictions including both physical and mental health problems.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the performers list
  • Training in addiction medicine, mental health, or inclusion health
  • Experience working with people experiencing homelessness, substance use, or severe mental illness.
  • Commitment to delivering healthcare to socially excluded or vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to work flexibly in non-traditional clinical settings.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

  • Able to quickly establish rapport and credibility with others in the team

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Experience working with people experiencing homelessness, substance use, or severe mental illness

  • Understanding of safeguarding and risk management
  • Knowledge of current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice
  • Ongoing commitment to personal development
  • Evidence of computer literacy and keyboard skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times with regards to staff and patients

Desirable

  • Experience working in outreach settings
  • Experience of working in teams and able to promote a team spirit
  • Interest in service development
  • Familiarity with EMIS
