Leeds Student Medical Practice are looking for an enthusiastic GP to join their team on a 12 month fixed term basis. This role will be funded as part of the PCN additional roles reimbursement scheme (ARRS)
The role will be solely based at Leeds Student Medical Practice on the outskirts of Leeds city centre.

Leeds Student Medical Practice (LSMP) are a busy GP Surgery, close to the University of Leeds, caring for students and their families studying in the City.
LSMP strives to provide inclusive, non-judgemental person-centred care to a diverse student population coming from the UK and around the world. Our ethos is grounded in compassion, accessibility, and equity, recognising the unique pressures and challenges of student life.
The Practice clinical priorities include Sexual and Reproductive Health, Mental health and wellbeing, young adult long-term condition diagnosis and management, and LGBTQIA+ health. There is a strong focus on prevention, early intervention, and continuity of care.
We are seeking colleagues, both clinical and non-clinical, who are willing to work with the needs of the registered patients and are open to developing their skills in responding to the clinical priorities. Safeguarding:
The post-holder will assist in promoting and protecting against any safeguarding concerns relating to Children and Adults, to include:
To recognise and report to the appropriate authorities any concerns regarding Vulnerable Adult issues to include social care and mental health.
All staff must comply with mandatory training requirements and ensure that adult safeguarding is embedded as an essential part of their daily practice.
To recognise and report to the appropriate authorities any concerns regarding Child Protection issues to include possible child abuse.

Experience
Essential
- General Practice Experience: Newly qualified GP (within 2 years) or recently completed GP training.
- Must be fully registered with the General Medical Council.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make confident decisions.
- Professional Conduct: Ability to work within professional codes of conduct, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage time, workload, and patient-related administration efficiently.
- Team Player: Willingness to work across multiple practices and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable
- Clinical Systems Knowledge: Experience with EMIS preferred.
