Integrated Falls & Bone Health Service- Wandsworth
We have an opportunity to join our B6 physiotherapy team within the Integrated Falls & Bone Health Service. Note that this is a static post even though there may be opportunity to join the wider community rotation scheme at a later stage. This would be an exciting opportunity for an experienced band 5 or established band 6 physiotherapist looking to develop their skills across a broad range of rotations within rehabilitation settings. The Integrated Falls & Bone Service is based at St John's Therapy Centre & Queen Mary's Hospital.
If joining the the rotations: These run across a number of areas which have differing working hours. In some areas this may involve 7 day working.

Main duties of the job
We will be looking for candidates who can demonstrate varied B5 experience in rehabilitation and neuro rehab. Evidence of the ability to supervise and develop other staff members and undergraduate students would be necessary.
To assess and manage own caseload of patients at risk of falls, complete Multi-factorial Risk assessment and to develop and deliver individual specialised physiotherapy treatment programmes.
To work as an autonomous practitioner within the standards of professional practice laid down by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Health Professions Council.
To work as a member of the multi disciplinary team on each rotation to deliver holistic care packages to the clients on the caseload. Often this involves working as a lone clinician.
There is a strong multi-professional team focus to patient care in all areas and you will work alongside experienced senior staff and can develop advanced clinical skills, knowledge and leadership as well as developing your own supervisory skills with junior staff, support staff and students.
Previous experience of working in the community would be desirable, and you will need to demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills .

Experience
Essential
- Experience as a Band 5 physiotherapist in Neurology, Orthopaedics, Older people’s rehabilitation, Falls management, Respiratory Care, Musculoskeletal
- Experience of assessing and treating a range of clinical presentations for example: respiratory, older people, musculo skeletal, learning disabilities, orthopaedics, amputees, and neurology
- Experience of falls management
- Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and/or multi disciplinary team
- Experience of supervising others
- Previous experience of working within the NHS
Desirable
- Experience of working in a community setting
Qualifications and Training
Essential
- Graduate Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy
- Registered with Health Care Professions Council
- Evidence of postgraduate CPD in at least 2 of the following areas rehabilitation, neurology, older people, falls management, amputee rehab, cardiac care
Desirable
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Member of a relevant clinical interest group
