Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 5 Dietitian to join our rotational team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical skills while also contributing to service development and student training.

The post includes four six-month rotations across St Mary’s Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital, supporting acute inpatient services. These include admission wards, endocrine, orthopaedics, vascular, rehabilitation, and elderly care. All rotations involve enteral tube feeding and require close multidisciplinary collaboration, offering a well-rounded clinical experience.

You will be joining a large, high-profile, and forward-thinking department that is both friendly and committed to professional growth. We are actively involved in dietetic student placements and strongly support continuing professional development (CPD) for all staff. There are numerous opportunities for audit and service development, and you will be encouraged and supported to participate in these areas.

If you are curious, enjoy a challenge, and thrive in a team environment, we look forward to receiving your application.

Main duties of the job

  • To be professionally and legally accountable and responsible for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients in your care.

  • To demonstrate effective communication skills when attending and contributing to ward rounds, meetings and case conferences relating to caseload.
  • To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records in line  with the legal requirements, trust guidelines and professional standard of practice (BDA, HCPC).
  • To develop clinical and teaching skills via continuous personal and professional development (CPPD), including maintenance of an up to date CPPD portfolio.
  • To actively participate in departmental and other in-service training and development opportunities.
