A rare and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the retail catering team at UHD.

The successful candidate will work as part of the team to ensure the highest standards of food service alongside outstanding customer service in our retail restaurant outlets.

The post holder will ensure staff are well trained and have the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform their duties.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to assist in the roll out of a brand new catering food court operation which will replace the Oasis restaurant at RBH in mid 2027.

Main duties of the job

Ensure the day to day smooth, consistent and efficient running of the retail restaurant outlets. Train new starters and ensure continued refresher training is under taking where needed.

Ensure that all areas of the retail restaurants outlets are hygienic and the highest standards of cleaning is undertaken. Comply with any recommendations made by department hygiene audits. Sign off any actions within given timescales and work within trust guidelines.

Ensure items that are on sale are managed for freshness, date coding and replenished in a timely manner.

Monitor and maintain all food allergen controls in line with legal and trust policies and procedures.

Organise, plan, record and ensure completion of daily tasks, support the team during peak rush periods, monitor portion control and the recording of waste.
