Our Neurology Team is looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Fellow for a 6-month fixed-term, full-time post, with the possibility of extension.

This role offers a great pathway for anyone looking to develop a career in Neurology. You will become part of a well-established team of Neurology Consultants, working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The successful applicant will receive educational supervision from a consultant, providing guidance and support throughout the placement.

In this role, you will work alongside colleagues to contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of Neurology services for the local population.

The post is based at Watford General Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will undertake outpatient general neurology clinics, management of inpatients via our liaison neurology service and attendance and at the weekly neuroradiology MDT.    Applicants must have full GMC registration. MRCP (UK) or equivalent and previous experience in Neurology is  desirable.

There will be no on-call requirements.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support to the neurology team in the assessment and management of patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions. •    Attend and contribute to consultant-led neurology outpatient clinics. •    Liaise effectively with colleagues in other specialties, including medicine, radiology, and intensive care. •    Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical encounters, in line with Trust and GMC standards. •    Engage in quality improvement projects, clinical audit, and service development initiatives. •    Support and supervise more junior trainees and medical students as appropriate. •    Comply with Trust policies on infection control, safeguarding, data protection, and health and safety.
