NIHR Clinical Research Facility: Oxford Health (CRF) Secondment Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Recruitment Facilitator to join the NIHR Clinical Research Facility: Oxford Health (CRF) on a secondment basis. This role provides specialist recruitment expertise to support the delivery of complex commercial clinical research studies, including early-phase research.
Working closely with research and clinical teams, you will lead on recruitment feasibility, participant recruitment planning, and the monitoring of recruitment activity throughout the study lifecycle. Your expertise will help ensure studies are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with CRF operational standards and Trust research governance requirements.
A key aspect of the role is embedding recruitment expertise at the earliest stages of study set-up, identifying potential recruitment risks, and implementing effective strategies to support successful study delivery. You will contribute to study viability by providing assurance around recruitment capacity, participant engagement, and recruitment performance, helping to minimise delays and support achievement of study targets.
Core hours 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, with at least 3 days a week working on site at NIHR Clinical Research Facility: Oxford Health (Warneford Hospital)

- Support recruitment feasibility assessments and participant recruitment planning for commercial and early-phase studies.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to support study delivery.
- Monitor recruitment activity, identify risks, and recommend solutions to maintain study timelines.
- Build strong working relationships with research, clinical, and operational teams.
- Ensure recruitment approaches are patient-centred and support a positive participant experience.
- Contribute to CRF governance through robust recruitment oversight and reporting.

Provide ongoing information, education, and support to patients (and their carers, where applicable) regarding recruitment into research studies across OHFT.
Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff within the department, as well as across other departments, the trust, and external companies such as Clinical Research Organisations and pharmaceutical companies.
Following training and competency assessment – obtain informed consent from participants to research studies, as necessary.
Provide oversight and guidance to the R&D team regarding recruitment and manage any organisational issues that may arise.
