They will support the CI/PI/Delivery Team by reviewing protocols, communicating study requirements, accessing relevant training for staff including maintaining training logs, compiling and maintaining delegation logs, set-up and maintenance of Investigator Site Files/Trial Master Files and ensuring all regulatory, R&D and sponsor approvals are in place before trial initiation. Obtaining initial trial supplies, ensuring Material Transfer Agreements are in place. Creating and maintaining the Investigator Site File/Trial Master File. Working with R&D, pharmacy, finance and laboratories.

During trial, oversees day-to-day activities to ensure regulatory compliance. In addition to the above, process amendments within timelines, raises invoices and organises patient expenses. Supports audits and regulatory inspections and ensures studies remain inspection-ready.

At trial closure, ensures appropriate notifications, documentation archiving and return or destruction of surplus investigational medicinal products. Maintains professional development and awareness of current NHS and research practices while adapting to evolving Trust requirements.
