An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join Ward 11 in Withybush General Hospital .
Ward 11 is a 18 bed Stroke and Rehabilitation Ward, with a 4 bed Acute Stroke Unit within it. Ward 11 delivers acute stroke care and facilitates rehabilitation with a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) approach.
The post offers an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in the daily running of the ward to care for our patients to the highest of standards..
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic band 5 nurse to be part of our team and to assist us in delivering safe and compassionate care to all our patients and also ensuring that all Stroke patients have access to excellent care which is evidenced based.
All Band 5 Staff nurses will be supported in their learning needs and work towards working in our Acute Stroke Unit providing thrombolysis care. We welcome and support newly qualified nurses - they will be given a preceptor and opportunity to work alongside an allocated experience Nurse.
Main duties of the job
Work alongside the nursing team members and MDT, providing support to colleagues in the provision of direct care to all patients.
Proactively contribute to the implementation of the NMC Standards for education, including the standards for student supervision and assessment.
Provide leadership and role modelling in the development and mentorship of new and other staff.
Demonstrate the Health Board’s values and beliefs in everything that you do within the work environment.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
