Job summary
Make a real difference as a Registered Nurse at Newcastle Hospice. Join our dedicated Inpatient Unit on a 12-month, part-time, fixed-term contract and help deliver exceptional care when it matters most.
Main duties of the job
Make every moment matter as a Marie Curie Nurse. With high staffing ratios, youll have more time to focus on what truly matters delivering exceptional, patient-centred palliative care. From assessment through to discharge, youll help patients live their final days with dignity while providing vital emotional, psychological and spiritual support to them and their loved ones. Job responsibilities
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale (aligned with AFC) Band 5 £32,073 - £39,043 per annum + enhancements
Hours: Part Time 22.5 hours per week
Shift pattern: (Days 7.30 am 8 pm, Nights 7.30 pm 8 am)

As a Marie Curie Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the care needs for patients in a palliative care setting, helping them live their final days with dignity.
Youll be part of a supportive team that truly cares about you and your development. Using a patient-centred approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMCs and the Charitys policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carers.
