Job overview

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Staff Nurse (Band 5) to join our friendly and dynamic team on the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital.

This is a fantastic chance to be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team (MDT) delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to people recovering from a stroke. You will play a key role in supporting patients and their families through their rehabilitation journey, helping them to regain independence and improve quality of life.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring nurse who is committed to delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced nurse looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

If you are passionate about rehabilitation nursing and want to be part of a team that places patients at the heart of everything we do, we would be delighted to receive your application.

This job is currently only open to people who already work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.

We are committed to supporting our dedicated staff, so only current employees of the following organisations can apply:

  • Cornwall Foundation Trust
  • Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board

If you do not currently work for one of these NHS organisations, your application will not be considered at this time.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as a skilled member of the nursing team
  • To provide a high standard of compassionate patient centred care
  • To lead and supervise the work of unqualified staff within the team
  • To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team
  • To be able to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff, as deemed appropriate by the Ward Manager or Matron
