The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced staff nurse to work within the Bellshill Locality Community Nursing Service. You are required to be a registered nurse, with community nursing experience. You should have excellent communication skills and extensive clinical expertise and knowledge are essential, as well as a desire to assist the Community Nursing Team to deliver a high quality service. The post will include working weekends and public holidays.

In this key role, you will:

• The post holder is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning and implementation of programmes of care. These will be developed in partnership with patients, family, carers and significant others, and will be evidence based taking into consideration the lifestyle, race, gender and cultural background, and factors which impact on physical, mental or emotional health.
• Contribute to the development of local policies and guidelines and promote effective health improvement in a community setting
• Effectively deliver Community nursing practice and duties as detailed in relevant NHS Lanarkshire policies , Procedures and other relevant guidance e.g. tissue viability, infection control, terminal care . and be aware of their responsibility in respect of public protection.
• Be fully compliant with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and other relevant guidance documents, which support and maintain standards of professional practice for nurses and midwives.

What You'll Bring:

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
• The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
• Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
