Job summary

Hollybank is a 15-bedded Adult Mental Health rehabilitation unit, located in Havant, providing compassionate, holistic care for individuals with enduring mental health conditions and complex needs. We operate 24 hours a day, supporting patients through their recovery journey and helping them transition back into the community.

We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our small, friendly, and dedicated team. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference by delivering responsive, recovery-focused care whilst building strong therapeutic relationships with patients.

Inclusive of nights shifts, earlies, lates, and weekends.

Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Support patients in their rehabilitation journey.

Be a primary nurse for your named patients and provide evidenced-based nursing care with recovery-focused outcomes.

Support patients to identify and work on their rehabilitation goals.

A current NMC registration.

Main duties of the job

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care needs of a specific

group of service users.

To supervise, mentor and teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students.

To co-ordinate the patient environment on a shift by shift basis.

To co-ordinate care for a specified group of service users.

To lead the clinical management of a designated group of service users in

assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care.

To ensure that junior staff and students are actively engaged in patient activity.

To observe, report and record changes in the service user physical, mental health

and behaviour.

To work with the MDT in planning and delivering care.

To maintain working knowledge of legislation, policy and guidance pertaining to

mental health and learning disabilities.

To identify, provide and supervise the necessary physical care to service users to

help them complete daily living activities, i.e. personal hygiene, diet and fluid

intake, clothing and laundry, manual handling, personal environment, manual

handling, elimination, maintaining rest and sleep and activity and physical

observations.
