Job overview

We are seeking a motivated and organised Recruitment Assistant to join our busy recruitment team.

You will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring that all pre-employment checks and onboarding activities are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will provide routine administrative support, respond to candidate and appointing manager queries.

The postholder will be the first point of contact for all electronic communications into the recruitment team - responding where appropriate or ensuring they are assigned to the correct team member and ensure queries response records are maintained.

The role is available  on either a full time basis or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week over 5 days).

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in secretarial, administrative or office-based work.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident using IT systems including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to follow established processes and procedures effectively.
  • An effective communicator with excellent customer service skills.
  • A team player who can manage workload and meet deadlines

  • Experience of timely handling of routine but high volume queries - email, system communications and telphone
  • Previous experience in secretarial/administrative roles that require attention to detail and accuracy
