Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated person to join our friendly Reception Team at the Bitterne Health Centre.

The successful candidate will have a caring and courteous manner and enjoy working with and meeting people. You will be working within the Estates Team and working in liaison with clinicians, patients and visitors You will need to be resourceful, organised and capable of delivering high quality support to busy services during challenging times

You will work alongside multidisciplinary colleagues, working with clinical colleagues and service managers. You will work as part of the reception team but also autonomously and will be responsible for managing your own workload.

Main duties of the job

To provide a welcoming friendly approachable comprehensive and efficient front of house reception for visitors and staff at the Bitterne Health Centre.

To direct patient and visitors to the correct waiting areas.

To keep the reception areas safe clean and tidy at all times.

To report any maintenance issues as they occur.

To be responsible for smooth running and bookings of the hot desk rooms and consultation rooms.

To respond to and answer all incoming telephone and face to face enquiries.

To effectively prioritise own workload whilst maintaining confidentiality and diplomacy at all times both independently or as part of a team.

To carry out other duties as necessary to meet the changing needs of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in accordance with management requirements and appropriate to banding.
