Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join our Adult Mental Health Inpatients Team in the beautiful county of Cornwall.  This post is part time hours and will involve providing administrative support and reception duties for individuals admitted to the wards.

The morning receptionist provides full administration support as the first face our patients, visitors and staff see on the reception desk. They will be responsible for providing a front of house service, taking telephone calls, directing appropriately and processing sensitive patient information in a timely and accurate manner.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide a reception service and offer directions as required for those attending the building in person, which may include both patients and other members of staff.
  • Sending correspondence to the Department of Work & Pensions
  • Scanning and uploading information to patient records
  • Use RiO, the Trust’s electronic health record system.  This will include checking data for accuracy and to ensure it is recorded and synchronised correctly, scanning and uploading clinical information as required.
  • Clerking in and out patient valuables
  • To be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of client data in accordance with Trust policy
  • To comply with Trust policies and procedures
